Pack and Hotfix Lists
The left pane of the OS Information tab displays the
list of available Service Packs corresponding to particular OS
version. Browsing through this list causes the list of associated
hotfixes to be displayed in the right pane. In addition the bottom
pane containing embedded web browser displays Service Pack
information.

Viewing
Hotfix Detailed Information
The Hotfix list includes the ID of the Knowledge Base article
(Qxxxxxx). You can
view this detailed information in the bottom pane by simply selecting/highlighting the desired
Hotfix in the list. The embedded Web Browser provides you with most of the basic
functionality of the Internet Explorer. When
a hotfix item is selected in the right pane the bottom pane displays
the Knowledge Base article associated with the selected hotfix, or
sometimes Microsoft's Security Bulletin (for security related items).

LiveUpdate
At any time, you can run LiveUpdate for the latest updates available from
Microsoft. The date and time of the LiveUpdate you have
performed are displayed on the status bar. You can configure Service Pack
Manager to run LiveUpdate periodically by using LiveUpdate
Scheduler. After LiveUpdate is completed, the new hotfixes are
indicated by a new
indicator

Hotfix
Download
It is possible to download hotfixes on this tab, as well as on the
other tabs of Service Pack Manger. Check the boxes of the
desired hotfixes and click Download button on the
toolbar. Alternatively, to download a single hotfix, right-click on
the hotfix item and select Download menu item on the
pop-up menu. Once the download process completed, the download hotfix
items are indicated by the yellow indicator (versus
initial red indicator that
designates hotfixes that are not present in the download directory
tree).
